This is Sh2-114, the Flying Dragon Nebula— buried deep in the Cygnus region.

This is an HSS combination, total integration time: 36 hours and 10 minutes, broken down as:
18h 25m Ha
17h 45m SII
RGB stars added.
Captured with the EdgeHD 9.25 at f/7 using the QHY600M and Optolong 3nm filters. Processing focused on maintaining the delicate contrast between the faint tendrils and background while preserving structure in the brighter filaments. LocalNormalization and careful DBE early on helped manage the wide gradients across the field.
The fine, vein-like structure in SII really surprised me—more prominent than expected in several regions, it’s subtle. Curious how others might approach this one.
