Helping Hand Nebula LDN 1355
Located in the constellation Cassiopeia, LDN 1355, together with the surrounding dark nebulae LDN 1357 and 1358, formed an interesting image of an “outstretched hand”. Just below the ‘palm’ of the outstretched hand is the blue reflecting nebula VdB 9, illuminated by the star SU Cas. On the right edge of the image is another reflecting nebula, VdB 7, with hints of red and blue, surrounding the variable star RZ Cas.
