The Cone Nebula and Christmas Tree Cluster (NGC2264) + Stars Over Bucks + Optolong SHO-3nm NB

The Cone Nebula and Christmas Tree Cluster (NGC2264). The nebula was discovered the day after Christmas in 1785 by William Herschel. This is a star forming hydrogen gas cloud in the constellation of Monoceros about 2700 light years away and the Cone Nebula (small cone shaped nebula) is 7 light years long. This is one of my favorite regions of the sky, I love how the entire field is covers in faint nebulosity. Much of this nebulosity is often called the Fox Fur nebula. This is a narrowband image shot over three nights with sulphur, hydrogen and oxygen filters.
