The Small Pinwheel Galaxy (NGC 3184) is among the brightest in the constellation Ursa Major and lies flat in our view so it is easy to observe the arms of the spiral shape. Although its apparent size is limited to about 7'x7', good details can be captured in photography even with a medium/short focal length telescope and a planetary astronomical camera.
It is about 25 million light years away from us and is under close observation because of the numerous supernovas that exploded within it.
The photo was taken in Stigliano (MT) with my instrumentation described below, in just over 5 hours.
