IC 4628, known as the Prawn Nebula, is located 6,000 light years away in the constellation Scorpius. The nebula spans 250 light years (4 times the size of the full moon.
I captured the Prawn back in July 2022 with the Esprit but this time wanted to revisit this cosmic crustacean again with the Redcat 51 and capture more of the abundant adjacent nebulosity.
In an uncharacteristic spell of clear weather, I was able to accumulate 34 hrs on this target.
