Leo Triplet Galaxy Group

I decided to add this galactic field, which I had already photographed three years ago, to my collection. It is a classic subject for the current astrophotography season. The Leo Triplet is a small group of galaxies about 35 million light years away, visible in the constellation Leo.
Its components are the spiral galaxy NGC3623 (M65), the spiral galaxy NGC3627 (M66) and NGC3628, also known as the Hamburger Galaxy. The latter also appears to be an elliptical galaxy, but as it is only visible in profile, this cannot be confirmed with certainty. In fact, it is hypothesised that it may be a barred spiral galaxy due to gravitational interaction with the other components of the group, and this interaction could also explain its “plump” and asymmetrical shape.
A crop has been applied to the 3 galaxies in the framed field.
