Optolong Remote Observatory was located in Yunling, Yao’an County, Yunnan Province of China.
This equipment there is mainly for testing Optolong items, including new filters.
At the beginning of February, we photographed the first image by this equipment. It looked really good.
NGC 2264 was taken by Ryan Liao at Optolong Yunling remote observatory.
NGC 2264 was located in the Cone Nebula, the Stellar Snowflake Cluster and the Christmas Tree Cluster were formed within this emission nebula. For reference, the Stellar Snowflake Cluster is located 2,700 light years away in the constellation Monoceros. The Monoceros constellation is not typically visible by the naked eye due to its lack of colossal stars.
