The Orion Nebula, catalogued as M42, unfolds a breathtaking spectacle in the heart of the constellation Orion. In radiant colours, it stages the impressive birth of new stars while majestic gas clouds collapse in a cosmic dance. On 12 November 2023, I had the privilege of photographing this fascinating spectacle from La Palma.
The sky over La Palma, with its low light pollution and optimal conditions for astronomical observations, gave me a unique view of the Orion Nebula.
