The Linz Dark Nebula (LDN 1622) is located in our Galactic, near the Barnard Ring in Orion, around a rich large emission nebula.
Young stars are hidden within the dark expanse of this dark nebula and are revealed in infrared images from the Spitzer Space Telescope . The Linz Dark Nebula's impressive visual appearance inspired its popular name, Boogeyman Nebula.
