Testing the new Optolong L-Para.
The Horsehead Nebula B33 is a dark nebula located in the constellation Orion. It lies next to Alnitak, a star in Orion's belt, and is surrounded by red-coloured emission dust consisting mostly of ionised hydrogen called IC434. It is about 1500 light years from earth. next to it we see the Flame nebula
I chose this nebula to test the filter on the brighter star Alnitak, which often releases hard-to-manage haloes, whereas here we see that the filter behaved very well, letting the neighbouring nebulae outline.
