First test of the new Optolong L-Para.
Westerhout 5 (IC 1848), also called Embryo or Soul, is a diffuse nebula observable in the constellation Cassiopeia, bordering the Giraffe. A fairly extensive HII region, the internal star-forming activity emits reddish light typical of H-alpha hydrogen emission lines.
The distance to our solar system is about 7500 light years.
I am not used to shooting objects I have already photographed but this new moon went badly and I was curious to try the new Optolong L-Para dual band filter.
In the first commentary you will find features and impressions.
