The large Sculptor Galaxy (NGC 253) takes its name from the constellation of the same name and is a spiral galaxy.
It is about 11.5 million light years away from our solar system, so the photo I took shows it as it was in the past, 11.5 million years ago.
It is considered a "starburst", that is, a galaxy in which star formation is particularly intense.
